First Blog

I don't know that I have a lot to say for my first blog. Today I had Sunday School and we learned about Elijah and Elisha. Elisha like most are today was worried about the future. He had been traveling with Elijah and staying faithful to him and to God but he knew the day was coming that the Lord would take Elijah. Elisha had to learn to hand over his worry and control of an unknown future. This is something that is difficult to do especially in a time that the world is in now. With terrorism, the economy going down and with global warming it would be nice if something was sure in our lives. Elisha gave up his worry. Elijah asked him what he wanted. Elisha told him that he was worried about the future and that he wanted to carry on his ministry.

I feel like I have gotten better at not worrying all the time. I still worry about things sure but I am trying to have a better understanding of what I can actually have some control over and what I can't. There are things that are going to happen that we just have to deal with some how and move on. With the Lords help things can be dealt with. I pray that I can keep the will to keep going to him for comfort, guidance, and love.
